Scenes

Scenes

Scenes are collections of Zone states and dim levels, and can be used to set multiple Zones to specified levels simultaneously. The Scenes view contains all the scenes for a Site and allows the user to create, manage, and activate them. Scenes can also be executed by Schedules and Automations.

Scenes List

The scenes list contains both user-created and area default scenes, such as "All On".

Each scene element contains the following information:

  • The scene’s name.

  • The number of zones that are currently controlled by the scene.

  • A button on the left-side to activate the scene manually.

  • A carat symbol that, when clicked, will allow the user to edit the scene.

Add Scenes

Below the scenes list on the right side is a circle icon with a plus in the center. This allows users to create newscenes. When pressed, a newscenewill be opened and ready to be edited on the right side of the page. To save a newscene, there must be at least onezoneadded to the zones list. After, you can save the scene and give it a name.

Edit Scenes

The right side of the scenes view contains the edit scenes section. Here you can add zones that will be controlled by the scene and set the lighting levels of your zones when the scene is activated.

To start editing a scene, select the edit button in the top left corner of the section.

Actions

Under the actions section, you can save, rename, set for demand response, and delete selected scenes.

Saving a Scene

Saving a scene will overwrite the previous changes made to the scene prior to editing.

Renaming a Scene

Renaming a scene will open an overlaying window and allow the user to change thename of the scene.

Setting a Demand Response Scene

Enabling Demand Response will indicate that this scene is to used for Demand Response purposes.

Deleting a Scene

Delete will remove the scene from the user’s site.

Live Mode

When "Live Mode" is enabled, Zones will change their state as you change it in the app, so that you can preview what the effect will be.

Zones

Under the zones section, the user can add zones to be controlled by the scene, edit the dim level of the zones upon being activated by the scenes, and remove existing zones from being controlled by the scene.

Adding a Zone

To add a zone to the scene, press the add button located on the right side below the last zone. Then press the save button under actions to save your changes.

Removing a Zone

To remove a zone from a scene, click the red minus sign on the left of the zone. Then press the save button under actions to save your changes.

Advanced Settings

Optionally, you may set a Fade In/Out time for a Zone to use when it changes state.

Setting all Zones at Once

To set the dim level and lights on/off of all of the zones of a scene, press the gear icon located on the top right corner of the zones section. A new panel will appear labelled “Set All Zones”. Dragging the dim level slider and pressing the lights on/off will effect all of the dim levels and lights on/off settings for all of the zones currently in the list. To apply these changes, press the save button under actions to save your changes.
