The Energy view gives you a complete look at the energy consumption of your Site and its Areas, allowing you to quickly discover patterns of usage and potential for energy savings.

Overview

On the left is a list of all Areas. On the right, an overall glance at your Site's energy use over time. Selecting "All Areas" shows usage across all the Zones of your Site. Narrow it down by clicking on Areas on the left.

Usage Graph

The graph displays historic usage for various time ranges, such as current year, last 30 days, and last 7 days. The graph differentiates between self-reported vs. real power usage. Real power usage is collected by Lightcloud Controllers and Sensors that have Power Monitoring enabled. Self-reported usage is determined according to the values entered by users into the "Wattage" field of applicable Devices.

Time Ranges

Custom time ranges can be chosen to view any time span since data collection began:

Zone List

Below the main usage graph is a list of all Zones in the current selection. Each Zone shows the percentage of energy consumption in its Area. Devices that do not have Power Monitoring enabled will show an exclamation-mark icon, as they will not be able to collect usage data.

Selecting an Area on the left will display usage data only for the Zones in that Area.

Zone Details

Click the arrow next to any Zone to display its On/Off and Dim Level history for that Zone. The graph on the bottom allows you to zoom in and out, down to the minute.

Energy Reports

At the bottom of the Zone list, there is a dropdown of Energy reports that include:

  • A "Usage CSV" that provides usage data in CSV format, which can be opened with Excel or other spreadsheet software.

  • A Monthly Energy Report that provides a comprehensive overview of energy usage in PDF format.

  • If enabled for your Site, the 15 Minute Energy Report provides extra-detailed minute-by-minute usage history. This can be downloaded in CSV format and opened with Excel or other spreadsheet software.
