Where should the Gateway be located in the building?

The Gateway needs a cellular signal. Locate it on a perimeter wall next to a major roadway where a 3G signal is available. Avoid placing in the center of the building and/or in the basement. If you use a 3G phone, the phone's signal indicator can give you an idea of how likely a Gateway is to work effectively in that location.

If the Gateway is placed in an area with a strong 3G signal, but is still having an issue, contact Lightcloud to troubleshoot.
