The black and white wires are the power supply wires from the electrical panel or other electrical box. Theses wires power the controller/sensor. The black wire is hot and the white wire is the neutral.
The wires coming out of the controller/sensor to the load (fixture) are the red, red and white stripe, purple and gray.
The red wire is hot and connects to the black wire coming from the fixture.
The red and white stripe wire is the switched neutral and connects to the white wire coming from the fixture.
The purple wire is the positive 0-10v low voltage and connects with the purple wire from the fixture.
The gray wire is the negative 0-10v low voltage and connects with the gray wire from the fixture.
Note: The switched neutral (red and white striped wire) is used for power monitoring of the actual load (fixtures). To use this monitoring feature, the neutral from the load (fixtures) must be connected to a dedicated neutral circuit from the panel. It cannot be connected to a common neutral used across multiple circuits. You can have multiple controllers/sensors on the same circuit neutral and monitoring will work well.
