For normal building materials like sheetrock and wood, the signal will travel up to 100 feet or often more. If you have metal or concrete walls, then look for an open pathway of travel for the signal. If you have clear visual line of sight (i. e. outdoor installation) then signal can travel up to 1,000 feet; however it is dependent on the area and any obstructions such as trees, buildings and other structures. Each area will be different. An additional Controller, used as a Repeater, can help maintain a strong reliable signal around corners. This need is recognized in the Lightcloud design and layout phase, which is available as a . Any Controller can be used just as a Repeater where needed.
